5 Best Places You Should Eat in Times Square

One of the most common questions we get from our followers is "Where Should I Eat in Times Square?" Our first recommendation will probably be to tell you to venture elsewhere. But we know Times Square is a very popular place to stay and there are a few spots we love. Here's where to go.

1. Los Tacos No. 1

229 W 43rd St

New York, NY 10036

If we had to pick one place we'd travel to Times Square for, it would be Los Tacos No. 1. Not only are these the best Tacos in Times Square, they're probably the best in NYC.

You're going to want to eat your taco so fast, you won't even care there's no seating. Lines can get wrap around the block during the lunch time rush, so try and go at an off-time. And make sure you order the adobada quesadilla.

2. City Kitchen

700 8th Ave

New York, NY 10036

If you're traveling with a group who can't decide on what to eat, run (don't walk) to City Kitchen. Right in the heart of Times Square, City Kitchen is a food hall that offers something for everyone.

Whether you're looking for a great burger, a delicious lobster roll, or a decadent doughnut, you'll be able to find it here. The best part? You'll likely be able to grab a seat by the window and people watch while you sit above the streets of New York City.

3. Schmackary's

362 W 45th St

New York, NY 10036

If you're in Times Square and need to satisfy your sweet tooth, there's no better place to go than Schmackary's. Take everything you thought you knew about cookies and throw it out the window.

Sure, they'll have classic flavors like chocolate chip and funfetti. But maple bacon? Banana split? Trust us, just try them. And if they're available the day you visit, you have to try one of their homemade rice krispie treats. They are pure heaven.

4. Nizza

630 9th Avenue

New York, NY 10036

There are no shortage of Italian restaurants in Times Square. But if you're looking for a spot to get away from the huge crowds, Nizza should be your stop.

With delicious pasta dishes, pizza, and desserts, it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal before or after a Broadway show. And unlike some of the other Italian restaurants in the area, you'll be able to get a reservation without having to plan months in advance.

5. Joe's Pizza

1435 Broadway

New York, NY 10018

You can't have a list of places to eat in NYC and not include spot for pizza. So if you're in Times Square and looking for the quintessential New York slice, make sure to stop at Joe's. Sorry, Michael Scott.

You'll know you're at the right place once you find photos of the dozens of celebrities who've enjoyed Joe's pizza. And while the lunch time rush can pack this small shop, the line moves fairly quick.
